Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had a great little Christmas this year. It was just enough without being to much. The kids all got some of what they wanted and plenty of other fun things too.
Thadd and Tucker had both asked for these pixo things and Santa didn't forget. Thanks to tv it was the only thing they really wanted. It's like the little things that Thadd loves to do at Nana's. He is my creative child and does so well with it.
Tucker of course won out with so many new games for his DS that he can never decide which one he likes best. He just likes them all!

Norma has been asking for a Dora scooter since August. She had just woke up one day and said to me out of the blue that she wanted one. Then she said she didn't have any money so she would just ask Santa. It was great when she opened it and was so happy. She can't quite push herself yet so Dad had to help til the tires broke in a little bit. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had as good day as we did!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was very nice this year. We didn't have as many people here as we sometimes do. The kids loved it though. They are too shy for their own good. But they really warmed up to Larry, Angela's boyfriend. As you can see, Norma took quite a liking to him. Was kind of upset when Angela sat between them at dinner.
We had told the kids that we would open presents as soon as Uncle Gerald called from New Jersey. When he hadn't called by the time we had told Thadd he would it was almost to much for him to wait. But call he did and it was so nice to talk to him. All the kids talked to him and Norma even sang her little song for him. We opened the gifts Gerald had sent to us all with him on the phone and we all got shirts but me. I got a very nice hat. I love it! Thank you Gerald!

Papa under the tree? What happened to presents?

My dad has waited years for my kids to be old enough to put his train up under the tree and this year he thought they would be able to leave it alone. The dogs got to it more than the kids. This is just one more thing that Nate and my dad can do together. Since its too cold to go fly planes. (Like that stops my dad. :))
I remember my Grandpa and Grandma Montag always having a train under their tree at Christmas. I think the one my dad has now is the same one. Grandma had a little town that went with it. I wonder where it got to?

Yes. The tree is purple! My mom has had this tree as long as I can remember. It has been red and green and for the last few years it has been blue. She went with purple this year and it looks awesome! If you are driving on the freeway in Lehi you'll see it.
The kids really liked the train and I'm so glad that it got put up. I hope my kids can have as good of memories of the train around the tree at Christmas as I do. They will have to learn it is just a look and not touch toy just like I did.

Swearing in as UHP Trooper

Well for the first bit of information to express about our family is Nate was sworn in as a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper on Wednesday the 17th. If I can figure out how to put pictures on, Heather was able to come and help with my kids and took some pictures for me too. Thanks Heather. I got to pin on his badge. I promise I didn't stick him with it. He made me pratice before we went. :) The kids did well and my mom, dad, little sister and my aunt Kathryn came too. It was very nice and the only hard part was I had to drive to Salt Lake behind a trooper. Do you know how funny it is to watch people slow down? Fast?

Jumping on the band wagon

So I've done it. Harm, this is for you. Now I just have to figure out what I'm doing.
