Just a Wonderful Weekend!

I guess I can post about this weekend. Friday was my birthday and my little sister helped with our kids so Nate and I could go out. Thanks Winni! We went to Olive Garden, (Nate had got me a gift certificate for Christmas that we used.) It was really good! It just was so nice to be without the kids and enjoy the quiet. Then we went shopping, just the two of us. We were going to go the the movies but the theater was crazy busy with people taking their kids to see Monsters vs. Aliens. (We are planning on using the gift cards Cindy gave us for Christmas to take the kids over spring break.) So we just did a little grocery shopping and came home to watch a movie here. It was just a very nice night.

We picked up the kids the next day and came home to clean the house. I went through all their toys and threw away anything that was broken. Their rooms look so much better! Then I did all the laundry. I have to say I am very proud of myself for that. I hate laundry and to get it all done is a big task for me.

Okay, so I feel bad about Sunday because we total could have gone to church but we didn't. We gave the kids breakfast, put in a movie and then Nate and I went back to bed. Until 11 o'clock! We must have really needed our sleep. The kids just stayed in their jammies and we just watch movies all day. We did go over to Dani's for a little birthday party for my friend Lisel, who's birthday is the day before mine, my birthday and Dani's husbands birthday. I had attempted to make a new recipe for a chocolate angel food cake. It didn't really work out. Little did I know that it would raise so much. (Thanks to my wonderful husband who cleaned the oven!) So then I just threw together a chocolate cake from scratch. If you know me, I don't make scratch. I use a box, but no box in the house means I had to make it from scratch. We played a few games at her house with some other people from the ward and had a really nice night.

I feel much better starting this week off with a clean house and a nice weekend off. Things have a much nicer look. Now if we can just get rid of this snow! Where did the spring go with the nice weather?

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I want to wish my Mom the best birthday ever! I hope your day is wonderful and you get to really enjoy your lunch with Daddy! My mom is the best and I just have to brag about her a little bit. She is such a loving, kind, thoughtful person. I love her so much and hope that I can be the mom to my kids that she is to me. She is always there for me and my siblings and I am so lucky she is my Mommy!

I love this picture of my Mom and Dad!

"It's my birthday day!"

My baby is now 3! I can't believe it! She had such a wonderful day! I got this pop-up castle from my Disney Rewards. Didn't pay a dime for it and it has been such a great gift. You touch one of the princess on the tablecloth and the castle lights up and the princess talks to you. So much fun!
She did so good waiting til Daddy got home to open presents. We had a pretty busy day, lunch group at noon, walking to get Tucker friends over to play with the castle, getting Eric from school and then Nana and Papa and Winni came just as Daddy was pulling up.

Presents and presents and more presents! Belle the Barbie, Mrs Potato Head, play food and a hula hoop are just some of the fun things she got.

Dora the Mermaid was a big hit! Thanks Nana, Papa and Winni!

Papa wasn't so sure about the party hats. They were a blast with the kids all day though. It helped to have them to play with so the presents could wait.

It has been such a great day. I have to talk about the day she was born. Nate won't talk with me so the readers will just have to deal with it or quit reading. She is my Saturdays Warrior and I will never forget it was raining when she was born. I remember looking up at the window and watching the rain come down. She was my first baby I got to hold right after the birth. Some thing I wish I could have done with my boys.
Such a beautiful baby girl that I will not be able to call my baby much longer. She is a big girl now and such a girl! I love her with all of my heart and can't wait for another wonderful year of watching her grow!

Our New Addition

Our new Aquarium! My friend Leslee brought it to us this last week as a house warming gift. Thanks Leslee! The kids love it! It has been a great incentive for the kids to get the fish to go in it. They have had to earn the fish for it and when Nate was telling his partner about it he offered us his fish. So last night, in the storm, we drove down to Payson to get these fish.

The kids had more fun playing at Jared house with his daughter and her play room than thinking about getting the fish and bringing them home.
This is going to be a great motivator for the kids! There are 4 of them and the one just likes to hide. Then there is a great big ugly one, Pinky, as Madision called him, and a little tiny one.
And what a teaser for the dog!
He just sits and whines at them!
I don't know what he would do if he got one. I don't really want to find out.
