Thad's Glasses

Well here he is.....

Doesn't he look sharp! We just got them today. At his 5 year well check with the doctor he told us he was in the gray area of having to get glasses and to just keep an eye on him. In just the last few weeks he has shown that we needed to have him checked. When we went shooting as a family he couldn't see the target when Nate had brought it up to show the boys where they had hit it. We had also been reading together and he couldn't see the pages that I was holding right next to him. He had a dominate eye that was leading to a lazy eye so we are glad that we got him in before school.I really hope it helps him. He has already said he can see the t.v. better!

Soccer Fun!

I couldn't wait to post these pictures! Just seeing these guys play soccer with my boys made my heart melt!
Gomo and his family have been part of the Montag family for a long time. They had come for a visit from Montana this past weekend. It was so good to see them all! Chrispin, Myshada and Shea have grown up! Time has gone by and this weekend made me feel old!

I was so impressed that Chrispin and Shea were taking the time to show my boys how to kick the soccer ball. I was even more impressed that Thad was playing with them! He didn't talk to them but he was sure having a good time.

When Chrispin and Shea got tired, Gomo took over. He played professional soccer when he was younger and it was so cool to watch him teach my son how to pratice so that he'll be right ready when soccer starts in the fall.
Norma was feeling very left out so she had to get in there too.
Myshada was good to kick the volley ball around with Norma too. It was softer than the soccer ball for Norma.
I love this family so much and really enjoyed the time I got to spend talking with Ranoda and the rest of them. I am so planning on visiting them next year!

Learning to shoot

We took the kids out west today to let them shoot Grandpa's 22. It was hot and I don't know what we were thinking, but Nate did think ahead and brought a tarp to set up for us to sit under. It was fun watching all the kids shooting and enjoying themselves.

Catch up

It has been nearly a month since I posted. I can't believe it! The summer is flying by and in 5 weeks the boys will be off to school and it will just be Norma and I at home in the mornings.

Our 4th of July was nice. Nate and mine Anniversary is the 2nd and we went camping with some of our friends, The Taylors, and some property that Jereds dad owns. It was so much fun! Nate's crew from work was all there and we went 4 wheeling and BBQed and just had a really nice night talking around the fire all night. It was amazing watching a storm come in over the mountains. We thought that it was fireworks but when we realized that it was lighting it was so cool to watch!

Kathryn had taken our kids for the night and taken them to see the hot air balloons in the morning. She wanted to take them to the Provo parade too but my kids didn't really want to so they headed home for a nap.

We spent the day at Mom and Dad's and just had a nice day. We came home and did a few fireworks out in the street and then went to fine some where to watch the Thanksgiving Point fireworks. We found a perfect spot. But as things go, Norma was complaining of a head ache so loudly we headed home before they even started.

We went back to Lagoon on the 8th and had a blast! We love going with my Mom's work because there is so much free stuff and it is during the week so there are hardly any lines. We walked right on to Raddle Snake 3 times, the log ride and a few others right when we got there. We had lunch and then spent a few hours at the Beach. It was windy but still nice. Then we went the all the kiddie rides and there were no lines. The kids went from one ride to the next and rode the bumper cars 3 times in a row.

This last Tuesday my brother John came down from Wyoming were he had been working on a ranch for the summer to introduce his girl friend to all of us. It is so nice to see him happy! He has been looking for someone for so long, and I think he has found one! I really hope he keeps her around!

The last thing to report on is Nate's Dad and step-Mom got their mission call last night. They had all the kids there to open it and you will never guess where they are going. MONGOLIA! I can't believe it! For those of us who don't know where that is, it is under Russia and over China.

Sorry I don't have pictures. I have a few of the water fight from the 4th but we would need me to explain what is going on the pictures and that is just to much. Lets just say my kids had a hard time waiting to throw the water balloons and then just threw them at everyone!

Not much is going on the the next little while. Nate is working a lot and the kids and I are just trying to stay cool. So until I have something more note worth to write about....
