Halloween, are you sure?

So I am a bad blogger.  NO PICTURES!  I can't believe I didn't get one.  I guess I really took a lot, (of Katy) last week but not a single one of Tucker.

It was a crazy busy day.  For some dumb reason, (my head not being screwed on right?) I signed up to help with all 3 kids Halloween parties.  Don't know how I was going to pull that one off where Tucker is in a totally different school, 5 miles away.  So I helped with 2.

Thad's and Norma's party's were at different times so I was able to go help with Thad's and then go help with Norma's and then take them home.  It worked out so well.  Nate got off early, well, he was suppose to get off early because, (another dumb moment on my part) it is my week to pick up Tucker from school with the carpool and it was right when Norma's party was starting.  How I thought this through, I don't know.

Katy came with me to Thad's class and helped my hold doughnuts for the kids to eat off strings.  They all thought that was cool.  Near the end she was getting so tired she probably would have fallen asleep in my arms if it hadn't been so loud.  Nate showed up about that time and took her with him to go get carpool.  She is having some major Mommy issues right now and screamed the whole way there because he had taken her from me.

Next was Norma's party and I was in charge of a game.  I did the balloon relay where two kids hold a balloon between their tummy's and get from point A to point B.  They loved it!  I was really surprised with how small the class was.  There were just 20 kids.

I got home, made dinner and had just sat down to hold Katy for a bit when Glade and Diane showed up to see the kids.  What a great surprise!  The kids were so excited to see them and tell them all about their week.  We missed going over there for dinner this month so it was really good to see and talk to them.  Katy went right to Glade and climbed up on his lap.  It was very shocking to us all.  Diane was feeling left out so talked Kate into coming to her with candy.  Katy accepted.

Dinner was later than I wanted so by the time we were done the kids were ready to go trick-or-treating.  One of Tucker's friends came to the door and asked if the boys could go with him and his family.  Yes, yes they could.

Norma was not happy about having to wait for her dad to take her.  He really didn't want to so he was taking his time getting ready.  Maggie, Norma's little neighbor friend come to our house and her mom Dani, (I love Dani!) said that she would take Norma with them.  Now I only had Kate and the two dogs at home.  I had to lock up Eva because she would run out the door any time I opened it.  Katy did too but I could very well lock her up. :0)

What a great night.  The kids had a blast trick-or-treating and I didn't have to take them, I handed out almost all our candy and I didn't have to wash make-up off any of my kids this year.  Happy Halloween!

Puppy Troubles

We left to run some errands last night and came home to a little surprise.

You have seen how we have to lock up Eva because she can get out right?  Well we came home to see puppy poop in the living room.  She had gotten out.  So we started calling her.  We heard her whining and she was back with Walle again.  She had gotten out, made a mess and gotten back in.  We wanted a smart dog.

This was not the worst of it though.  She had spilled the water dish.  All over the floor.  Right where I keep my scrapbooks.  They were soaked!  I had to go through and wipe down every page because they were so wet.  There is about 10-12 pages in each book that are ruined.  I am so sad.  I'm going to look into moving them.  We just don't have a lot of room.  Anywhere.  :0(

Trunk or Treating 11'

Every year we go to my parents ward Halloween party.  They do a chili cook off and then do trick or treating for the kids.  I love it because they do it inside.  They set up the chairs around the gym and the kids come walk the circle.  I like to go visit with friends from that ward and so do my kids.

The kids were super excited that they got to dress up.  I didn't get one of Tucker on his own because he had homework that he needed to work on but the others...
Love her eyes!  My only baby without brown ones.
Norma is a "Flapper Girl".

I know this one is blurry but she is smiling in it.
Thad is Bumblebee.
Katy did NOT want me putting the paint on her face but when we all couldn't quit saying how cute she was, she started hamming it up for the camera.
I wanted you to see her tail. ;0)
Isn't she cute!

My mom makes home-made chicken noodle soup to take to the chili cook off every year and it is the only thing my kids will eat so we always sneak some before going up the the party.

My mom even got in the spirit and dressed up.  She is so amazing and looks so good!  This outfit she made me when I was six.  She made an adult costume so that I could wear my coat under it.  What kid wants to do that? :0)

I drew this "Dark Mark" on Winni's arm.  She is a Death Eater this year.

Norma was so sweet at the church.  She would take Katy's hand and drag her around everywhere.  I was so happy that she was helping her and letting her be with her.  I really hope that they can grow up to be friends.  Katy hasn't been sleeping well and so Norma hasn't either and that makes for an unhappy Norma most of the time.

I was surprised that when the adults asked the kids to sit in the middle of the gym to eat their candy so that wrappers didn't get everywhere they did!  I had to take a picture.

The kids had a blast and I always enjoy going and talking to friends.  Thanks 15th Ward for letting us come.

Thad's Halloween Program

We were so happy to go watch Thad's Halloween Program last night and to have Nana, Winni and Kathryn come support him too.  We showed up early so that we could get a good seat and still ended up half way back.  It was a lot of fun seeing these kids sing and dance.  I wish that we had been sitting somewhere other than right under the speakers because it made it really hard to hear the kids sing.

Thad had a lot of fun and did so well.  We sure love you Thad!

Good Quote from Conference

My friend Bonnie, sent this email to me and I really wanted to share it.  More so that I can remember it later on.

Here is a quote I liked from Elder Hales' talk "Waiting Upon The Lord, Thy Will Be Done" at the last general conference.  It's a good one to read.

"On this Sabbath morning, I express gratitude that “in my Gethsemane”and yours, we are not alone. He that watches over us “shall neither slumber nor sleep.” His angels here and beyond the veil are “round about [us], to bear [us] up.” I bear my special witness that our Savior’s promise is true, for He says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” May we wait upon Him by pressing forward in faith, that we may say in our prayers, “Thy will be done,” and return to Him with honor. In the holy name of our Savior and Redeemer, even Jesus Christ, amen. "

Thanks Bonnie for sharing. :0)

Katy Riding Eva

Just a few pictures of the dogs and Katy.  She was being so cute sitting on Eva that we tried to get a picture of it.  Little does she know that in the next 6 months or so she really will be able to ride Eva. :0)

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

I saw this link for the Pumpkin Point Farms on a friends blog and she had gotten such cute pictures of her baby that I really wanted to get some pictures of our family.  I'm trying to get pictures so I can start working on Christmas cards.  My mom took the day off and so Winni, Dad and Mom came with us.  I love the pictures I got of them!  I am not a photographer but I liked what we got.  Between Nate's work camera and my camera, we got some good pictures.  I hope you enjoy them.  There are a lot. :0)

Still doesn't like having her picture taken even though she is so cute.

Love her striped tights.

Norma couldn't be left out.

Kate and Thad were not happy at all.

But we still tried to get a nice picture.

Needed to take some of Winni.

Love this one!

Silly Daddy!

Much better. :0)

Love my Dad's laugh.
Our attempts at family pictures

The free corn maze.  Thad wasn't impressed because it had an orange string guiding you through.

Me and my little baby.

More attempts at family pictures.

Thad wanting to be pumpkin head.

This shows our three kids to a T!

Guess I really didn't need to put these ones on. :0)

Mom.  She loved the pumpkins in the window.

Love it!

FAVORITE!!!!

Love my parents!

That's my girl!

Isn't she cute. :0)

So many pumpkins and the sun was not in a good place for pictures but we still had a bunch of fun.  Well, some of us did.

Thad really wanted to take a pumpkin home but my Mom already had some at her house for us to carve.

This was the only way I could get Thad to leave.
We had a lot of fun and I was so glad that we got to go.  Love all the pictures we got.  Just wish some of my kids would have been happier. :0)
