Bad Dog

Nate noticed Eva being really good just laying next to him last night and looked to see what she was chewing on.  It was this.

I am so MAD!!!  Thad said that she had chewed on it when it was in his backpack and instead of telling us just put it back on the bookshelf.

It is so bad.  I'm so upset.  It will have to be replaced with a brand new book.
This dog needs to quit eating everything.  Books and socks included.

Chirstmas with Grandpa and Nana

For Christmas the kids asked Grandpa and Nana to go to Build-A-Bear with them and help them make an animal.  It worked out that we got to go today.  The kids got to stay out of school and we met Grandpa and Nana at the mall.  I was very impressed with my kids for not saying anything to the worker without a hand.  Thad said in the car later that it was creepy but I'm so glad that he didn't say that to the worker.  It was cool to watch him do everything.  Katy was scared of the fluff machine and went right to Grandpa to save her.
The kids had a blast and I think Grandpa and Nana did too.  Now the kids have to wait til Christmas to get their bears.  It might be a long month for them. ;0)

Cleaning Up

I had asked Norma to clean up her room because I couldn't see the floor.  I went in to help and couldn't put anything away because nothing was where it should go.  So EVERYTHING went on the floor and we all helped put things away.

Can you find Thad?  He's in there.  Somewhere.
Now we can see the floor and I can say that I have gotten her room ready for Christmas.  Next on the list... the boys room.  Oh no.

Wonderful Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend was great!  I got to spend all day Wednesday at my Dad's house having him show me how to dress and cook a turkey.  We made goodies and just had a great day.  I haven't had that good of a day with my Dad in a long time.  It will be a cherished memory.

I brought Winni home with me and we got a little carried away with Pintrest and all kinds of pumpkin recipes.  Some were really good.  Others needed work but the best part... spending the weekend with her.

I love my sister and am so glad that she can come and spend time with me.  We have so much fun and she helps me out so much!  LOVE YOU WIN!

Under the Tree

It was so very cute seeing her lay under the tree.  Kate had taken her blanket, laid under the tree and played with the ornaments.  One of Nate's favorite memories is laying on the tree skirt under the tree.  Guess he's not the only one.

Bath Time for the Girls?

I had Katy and Norma in the bath getting ready for family pictures last week and Eva thought she needed to be included.
She is such a funny puppy.  Katy tried to help her get wet.

She really wanted in there with them.  It was really funny to watch.

What a dog!

Decorating the Tree

We decorated the tree last week for FHE.  This was the tree before.

This was the tree after we were done.

You'll notice that it is only half way decorated.  This would be why.
Between her and the puppy getting into the tree it is going to be a long holiday.

Tucker's Native American Project

Tucker needed to do a project and he has his mother's habit of waiting til the last minute to do it.  This is what he came up with.  The purple thing is a buffalo and if you can see in the back, the Indian with the bow shooting at the buffalo.  The other dude is fishing.

So much to blog, so little time

The last two weeks have been busy, busy, busy at my house.  I've been cooking up a storm and the kids have been wonderful.  Last Monday, Nate hurt his back.  Big time!  He couldn't walk for 3 days and is just going back to work.  He is still sore and being careful not to hurt it again, I'm so glad that he is moving and almost back to normal.  It was a very long week taking care of him and everything else.

I baked all week getting ready for a Scentsy Party I had at my house and the Powell Thanksgiving this last Sunday.  I'll be posting everything I baked with yummy pictures on my "other blog" so if you are interested in any of it, you can go here

I have a few posts with pictures to post and I'm hoping to have time to do them all on Friday night.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope that you eat all you can and get the best part of the holiday, Family!

New Dresses

Yes, I've got them done this year with plenty of time to spare!  I also used fabric that can be worn all year long.

I wanted to share the cute pictures I got of the girls before church yesterday.  Katy has finally learned "cheese".  And smiles for the camera!

We wanted Norma to teach Katy how to spin.  Norma did it beautifully!  Katy was a little shy.
I had to put in this picture too of Katy chasing the puppy.  I love that I can get a smile on camera!!!!

Family Movie Night

Nate had rented a movie that he wanted to watch with the kids last night, but we didn't have any microwave popcorn.  I found this post and wanted to try it.  It turned out so well I posted about it on my other blog here.  I took some other pictures of the kids enjoying their snack and had to share them here because Katy is smiling.

She loved being one of the big kids.  I have been letting her sit at the table with Norma and I for lunches this week and she thinks that she is hot stuff.
I love that I don't need a hot air popper for popcorn and it didn't take any longer than a bag of popcorn in the microwave does.  A little clean up but hey, I can handle that. :0)
