Water Balloons

Just another way to get the kids out of the house.

Took them an hour to fill some up and only 5 minutes to

Cleaning House

Yesterday morning I got this text.

"I moved the filing cabinets."

"To get this. "

Yes. That would be number two to be found in our house. This one is smaller than the one that was in Thad's laundry basket at least.

Later I get this one.
"It shouldn't be mad at me. I gave it a dead fly. "

Nate did some research and found out that they aren't poisonous.  If you get stung by a scorpion its just like getting stung by a bee.  That made me feel a bit better.  Still, not happy about them in the house.

Friday Night Baseball

I got a phone call from my Dad while at an appointment yesterday asking me if we wanted to go to an Owls Baseball game.  For free?  Of course!

"Take me out to the ball game!"  (Side note: Winni does not know this song.  I have failed as a sister.)

I really wanted to get one with all the kids and the Owl but Katy of course wanted nothing to do with it and Tucker wasn't willing to pose for me.

Our seats were right on the first base line, right over the dugout for the other team.  Cool!

At this point I wish I had Photoshop.  I had to put them all up so you could see why.

Nice smile Thad and why are you winking Norma?

A little better.

Finally a good smile from Thad.  Katy... was done smiling.

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us and making our weekend so wonderful!

Katy still was not happy about being there.

The kids all got free nachos thanks to Papa's boss who sat in front of us.

And Nana and Papa got us all snow cones.  Can you tell what flavors we all had. ;0)

What a great night!  The boys loved watching the game and the score board.  Norma loved having Winni all to her self and Katy just wanted me to hold her and whinned all night.  I enjoyed the family time. :0)

Provo River

Nate took the kids to the park while I went for a contact check-up. It was so hot he let them get in the water.

Katy had no desire to go any farther than this.

She did love the grass.
And a little girl her size.

Late Night Pull

I might be up late playing cards. I might be letting my kids watch a movie this late. I might be sick to my stomach because Norma came upstairs with a mouth full of blood and says, "This is a good night to lose a tooth."
Not sure if the Tooth Fairy will find us at Nana and Papa's.
How is she suppose to eat now?

Laundry?

I'm not even sure what to say about this.  Just a little creeped out right now.

I was cleaning out the toy box, finding the second spider in there, when I asked Thad to do his laundry.  He came back telling me that there was a bug in his laundry.  I rolled my eyes and told him to kill it.  He was a boy, just smash it.  Whining he went back.  Tucker then come to inform me how lucky Thad is to have a scorpion in his laundry basket.  WHAT!  Climbing out of the middle of the toy explosion I ran to see this.

At first glance it looks like it might be plastic.  Until we moved the basket and it moved.  How it got in the house, in his laundry is beyond me but I hope that it's the last one.  Now I have the willy's.

GRASS!!!

You know, we have been making our own fun in Wendover, spending a lot of time at the pool, playing a lot of electronics, watching all the Harry Potter movies as Thad finishes the book, be I don't think we realized how much we missed a yard.

Mom pulled out the pool and slip-n-slide for the kids and they spent the whole week out there.  Rain and shine. (I may have forgotten to bring sunscreen. :0/ Oops. )

I am so proud of my kids though.  The pool has been wonderful for them and learning to hold their breath under water.   The boys would see who could hold it the longest and then Nate had to be included. ;0)

 Got to love this girl!
The boys would go right after the other and have to roll out of the way.
Norma was so funny!  I got the best video of this!  She would jump in and swim under water to the other side of the pool.  This little, tiny, not very deep pool.  I tried to tell her it wasn't like the pool in Wendover but she loved jumping in anyways.
For the down time, Katy got a ride on Thad's back all night long.  He sure loves his sister.  Now if only he could show the other sister this much love...

5 am Wake Up Call

While being at Mom's she was able to talk me into walking with her before she had to go to work.  At 5 in the morning...

I love the stormy sky in the morning.  I miss the air and seeing the mountains this close.  Plus having it be cooler was amazing!
Love the pink sunrise!  Thanks for getting me and Winni up and going for the day Mom.  I never knew how much I liked walking in Wendover more, no hills. :0)

Traveling with Eva

We learned some new rules to traveling with dogs.

1) Make sure she can get her nose into the cab of the truck.

2) Don't put the frisbee where you don't want her climb.

Nate ended up getting a ladder to see if she would climb it.  She did.  Blogger won't let me post the video of that though.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings a bit crazy when Nate has to work.  I was getting ready and asked the boys to get dressed.  When I came out to get Katy ready, not only did Norma have her dressed but she was brushing her hair.

I have some amazing kids.

Puzzles at the Powells

I try and keep the tv off when I can and so we pulled out the puzzles.  The kids loved it and had to take pictures of the finished product.

I tell you, some of the only pictures I get any more are when the kids take them.

Game Night

We just love Tuesday night game night out here in Camp Gumbo. We were missing the Banks and it wasn't quite the same without them. But we carried on and had some amazing treats thanks to Pinterest.  Nate didn't like that he had to wait for all of us. Or the fact that I was taking his picture.

Letter from Romania

The kids love getting mail.  Even more when it is from Grandpa and Nana that are in Romania serving a mission.  Katy got one today and loves that she gets one all for her.  She got a magnet in her letter and had to run and put it on the fridge right next to the other ones.
