Purple Potatoes

I can not say it enough, we LOVE bountiful baskets!  We got purple potatoes in it this time and they are really purple!

Isn't this the most beautiful color!

So much fun!  Never knew they came in purple.

First Campout

Tucker went on his first scout over-nighter and I might have had a hard time with letting him go.  It was raining and cold and I worried he was going to come home sick.

Tucker on the other hand, couldn't wait!  It did rain on him, the tent he was in got flooded and he came home with everything soaked but he loved it and stayed up all night talking with a new friend.  I hope to see him enjoy scouts all summer long.

Easter Saturday

Easter Saturday is when we have the bunny come to our house as most of you know.  We were so lucky to have family here and do all the fun things that Easter brings.  Like coloring eggs...

And getting colored fingers. :0)  We tried the shaving cream and food coloring way.  So cool!

We had a BBQ with the Camp Gumbo gang too!  It was such a nice day and warm.

John had hid all the eggs in the playground earlier and as we were all sitting around after lunch getting burned in the sun he asked when we were going to let the kids go look for them.  I had totally forgot that we had filled them with chocolate!  Yeah, we had some melted chocolate filled eggs for the kids to find. :0)

John had to help find the rest of the eggs.

Kathryn helped find some too. :0)

Tucker had gone with Nate to a Eagle Court of Honor so it was just the three kids looking for eggs.  Thad found Tuckers eggs and shared with him though.

The girls ended up getting super burned playing outside all day long but when the weather is that nice, it is hard to stay indoors.  I think its about time we get some sunscreen.

Bloodmoon

The boys set their alarm so they could get up and see the moon.  I ask them to wake me up so I could see too.  Well, I didn't need them to wake me up, the dogs heard them get up and went crazy!

I wish that we would have know that if we would have gotten up at 130 instead of 1 we would have see the total eclipse.  But I did get this.

Thad is at the table looking through the telescope and Tucker is on the left sitting in the chair.  Know it's hard to see.

I told them they could stay up for another half an hour to watch while I went back to bed.  Thad was upset because it was just getting completely covered by that time. It was still cool though.

April Conference

I was just a little excited for this General Conference.  I made sure I didn't have to do any homework and printed off plenty of coloring pages for Katy to do.  It has been a long time since I have been able to just sit and watch the whole thing without something else going on.

It was even better because my parents were here.  Our truck broke down on our way home from town on Wednesday night and they came out to tow it to the dealer in Tooele for us.

Thad made a conference notebook like the one that Norma, Celest, Kathryn, Nana and I did when we went to the Women's Conference the night of Norma's baptism.  He set himself up right here.

Nana cross-stitched and Papa played Candy Crush. :0)

Nate, unfortunately had homework to work on.

Katy had to sit on my lap and needed my attention more than I wanted but still allowed me to listen and take notes.

Just some of my notes. :0)

The branch did a BBQ for the men before the Priesthood session and Tucker was able to go.  My young man.  I crafted during this but it was still super cool to be able to listen to it on the tv.  I will wait til the Ensign comes out to take notes on that one.

I just loved listening to the conference talks and then getting on facebook and seeing all the memes that people made from the same quotes I had written down.  To make it even better, I loved being able to discuss things over with my Mom.  Nate is usually working and it is so great to talk things out when they are still fresh on your mind and I loved talking them over with my mother, feeling the Spirit speak to us and feeling the Lord in my home for two whole days.  It was even great because the kids would talk to us about what stood out for them too.  What a wonderful experience to have and I cannot wait til October. :0)

One Last Surprise

We made a quick trip to town, (Nate needed his cop car worked on) and went to see Aunt Becky and Addie.  They had a gift for Norma's baptism and forgot to bring it.  I knew that Norma would like to see Addie again anyways so we stopped really quick.

They gave her some smarties and this beautiful bracelet.

She loves it and wears it all the time!
