I made Eva a new bed hoping that by doing so I could get both her and Walle to quit sleeping on the bed. The girls thought it was a great big pillow and had a blast laying on it while they watch t.v. and played with dolls.
You can see how big I made the bed. Eva is a big dog.
I just loved this picture. Katy has started grabbing your face if you are not listening to her. They were playing so very cute together. Love it!!! Then Eva, wondering why they won't let her on her bed. :0)

Caught Katy
I just happen to peek over the couch and saw Katy brushing the barbie's hair.
Now when I take her picture she has got to say "Cheese!" Doesn't make the best picture. She doesn't like waiting for the flash.
But she is super cute! Love that she is growing up. Sad about it too. I want her to stay little forever!

Fabric
I have needed to do this for a while now. Go through all my fabric I have down stairs. I have a lot of friends having babies this spring and summer and I wanted to see what I had before I could talk Nate into letting me go to the fabric store.
I don't think I'll be allowed to go anymore.
These three bags are full of lace, interfacing and notions. Yep, you ever need lace, you know where to find it.
This bag is just scraps to small to do much with but just enough to do flowers and bows and little odds and end projects. Its stuffed.
I found so much fun stuff that I don't know where to start! One at a time. :0)

Pioneer Project
Tucker had to make something with out using electronics. He wanted to make muffins and we have found some really good recipes lately. I had to take pictures as proof that he did all the work.
He got to take the finished product to school today for all the kids to have a taste. I think they turned out well. I think we will be making more this weekend.

Big Girl Bed
Look who gets to sleep in a big girl bed tonight. :0) Nap time worked. Even if she just slept for an hour and woke up to play with Barbies.

Powell Family Cabin Trip
I am a SLACKER. I have one picture from the cabin. One! And it just shows what Katy did. Oh well. I have to give myself a break because I have had the cold from ... well, you know where from. But I really wanted to remember all the fun things that went on at the cabin. It might be awhile before we go back.
We went up Friday and the weather was wonderful! There was a ton more snow than a month ago. As people started showing up, the kids didn't even come in. They just got right to sledding and playing in the snow. All the kids had such a blast! The snow was great and they just love hanging out with all the cousins.
The whole trip was so much fun! There were card games, sledding, snow fort building, Dora watching, sledding, card games and more Dora watching. We had 5 little girls up there that the only thing we could get them to do was watch Dora. I'm so very Dora'd out. To bad my Katy was one of the worst ones. I see a Dora birthday theme coming up in a week or so.
We really had such a great time. I love hanging out with everyone although we did miss Heidi, Justin and Devin. All the grandkids were up there Sunday. All 18 of them. It makes it hard when the adults are out numbered. But easier when the kids all get along.
We are so lucky to have such a great family and to enjoy spending so much time together. No one wanted to leave. I can't wait til we hang out again.

Science Party
I've gotten a cold so I am just getting to posting all the pictures from Tucker's party.
The day started out with waffles with sprinkles. Tuck had asked for waffles for breakfast and if you know me, I don't make breakfast in the morning. They get cereal and I make breakfast for dinner. But you only turn 10 once. Plus, Nate made them. :0)
I filled the living room with balloons and everyone loved playing with them. They are still loving playing with them. Even the dogs.
Now on to the experiments. :0)
Here is everything for the lava lamps.
Exploding lunch bag.
Sugar Density.
Glow-in-the-dark Slime. Now sure how they glowed in the end. The ones here didn't glow very much. But that is what the kids said. I never looked for myself.
They all got some glasses, a notebook and pencil, a magnify glass, some rubber gloves and a crazy scientist name. :0)
I know that I would be to busy to take a lot of pictures so when one of the invited kids mom asked if she could stay and help I jumped at the chance. She took all these pictures for me. Thank you so much!
For the exploding lunch bag experiment, I was planning on doing it in the sink. I would just clean up the mess. My nephew Eric was very concerned that it would blow up so much and get the light wet and electrocute us all that we went outside. Didn't want to scare anyone. :0)
It was a bust. The bags were cool! Looked like they were going to blow up huge and then.... tiny pop and that was it. As you can see, the kids were worried about how big the boom would be so no one wanted to get near them.
Back in side for some slime.
I had such a good group of kids here! They all helped and let everyone have turns. I was so impressed with them all!
You can see the lava lamps working in these pictures. I loved the blue and green one. One of the girls did purple and it was amazing!
I think Tucker's favorite thing was the presents! He got so many cool things and has already got into the guns with his brother. The science kits were the best and he can't wait to try them out.
Ice cream sandwiches to end the party with and the kids all got to go home with messy faces, glow-in-the-dark slime, (Thank you Heather for helping me get all that goop in the jars!) and their lava lamps.
Couldn't leave out the Cuteness. :0)
Happy Birthday Tucker! You are such a wonderful boy and I can't believe that you are 10! You are growing up on me and I can see the man that you are growing up to into. I hope that your day was great and that you can have the best year ever!

I had made glitter hair gel to give all the kids mad scientist hair. Only some of them wanted it. |
Love that smile on my boy! It could be because he is by Emma. :0) |
