Splash Pad Play

 This is how the kids like to play at the splash pad that is right by our house.

Thad gets as wet as he can.

 Norma only gets her legs.

 Katy doesn't even get in the water.  She is a mama's girl and just likes to lay out. ;0)

Tucker didn't even want to come so he sat in the car the whole time we were there.  Party pooper. :0)

I have to tell you that the other pictures were only taken a week and a half ago.  We have worked our tails off and it will pay off in the end.  I hope.

My Kathryn's

Kathryn came to help me clean the house a bit yesterday and what she did helped more than anything.  She sat and paid attention to Katy.  I just had to take a picture of my Kathryn's.

I am so lucky to have them both!

Nathan's Birthday

Nate has the whole week off and we have big cleaning plans.  But we took today and had the Jered's over for a play day.

The kids loved playing in the water.

Nate loved his doughnut cakes that Tara made.  You know, the doughnut for the cop. :0)

Nate spent the night of his birthday painting the boys room.

We had a great day and I'm so grateful for such good friends that come and spend time with us!

What a day!

I have been waiting for Friday since last week.  Friday came bright and early with cleaning the house on the list.  Here is how the rest of the day went.

Canceling the hike we had planned so that Nate could paint the kids rooms.

Running out of primer on the first room and having to go and get more.

The car breaking down on the way and having to go to fix it instead of finishing painting.

Not getting to bed til 11pm.  That is late for us!

1am having the smoke alarm go off.  Either because of the fumes from painting or dead batteries, not sure.  Opened all the windows.  Found out we had no batteries to replace the old ones with.  Not having a car to drive to go get new batteries because Nate had the motorcycle at the house and not his Patrol Car.  Finally resetting all the alarms in our house and getting them to shut off and finding that Eva has a tummy ache and had pooped all over the floor.

Getting back into bed at 2am.

At 4am, being woke up by Tucker saying that Eva had pooped all over Thad's pillow.  They had all slept down stairs since Nate is painting.  Coming down stairs to find out that not only did she poop all over Thad's pillow but Tucker and Katy's as well.  Putting all the pillows, plus Thad's sleeping bag in the wash and making new beds and pillows out of blankets for the kids.

Going back to bed only to be woke up by the alarm at 5am for Nate to go to work and have a 14-hour day ahead of him on the bike because he is working a petal-bike race.

Now I have no way to get some caffeine to finish what I need to do today, I have 4 tired and very un-happy kids and again am looking forward to another day.  Please, just let it go as quickly as this last week has.  I really need it to.  :0)

Dentist Visits

The kids had a cleaning and check up the last two days.  I have to say how proud I am of Norma.  Last time I had to sit in the chair and hold her down so that they could just clean them.  This time not only did she sit there by herself but she let them take pictures and clean them all.  She has one tiny cavity that she will have to have filled.  Tucker also only had one but Thad... has 5.  Yep.  Poor kids.
