Thad's lip

*Just as a warning; this picture might be a bit much for those with weak stomachs.  Just sayin'*

When Thad went to the dentist, the dentist noticed that he needed to have something done to his lip.  I don't know how to pronounce it let alone spell it so we'll just say his lip. :0)  It is the tissue that holds his lip down.  It was connected to the roof of his mouth and it was preventing his bone from closing and holding his front teeth apart and not allowing his eye teeth from coming down.  They had to laser it and cauterize it.  He told me that the only thing he felt was the shot to numb it up and nothing else.  Hopefully this will help with his speech and everything else and make it so he won't need braces later on.

Mexican Cruise 2011

Nate's dad took all the adults in the family on a cruise.  First, Thank you!!!  It was a blast!  We got to the ship and Winni texted me and told me to send her lots of pictures.  That is when I realized, I'd forgotten our camera!  It was a sad day.  So all these pictures are what everyone else took.  I'll post again when I get more from people. ;0)

We had to do a safety drill so we would know what to do if we needed to get off the ship.  Lisa had the idea to start the "wave"  Justin Coole was very for it and they had half the line doing it before getting yelled at.  The people behind us thought that we had already been drinking and when Nate told them we don't drink they didn't believe him.

Shopping in Mexico.  Lisa ran across the street to get this picture.

The "Blow Hole"  It was actually pretty cool to watch.  This is one of only 3 in the world.  Becky got this great picture of it.

I could have stayed all day at the beach.  I wish I had brought my swim suit with me.  It was so nice and lovely!

Heather was in a game show.  At first the game wasn't working right and so the guys would try and sing the songs or say the phrases.  It was pretty funny.

Justin C was picked next.  It was the best when he knew the Miss American theme song before the girls playing did.  The host made him come to the front of the stage, walk across doing the Miss America wave and then act like a tiger.  It was hilarious!  I'd post the video that Heidi took but I can't steal it off of Facebook.

Look at that moon!  It was so pretty.  We couldn't find Zac and Devin and after this picture was taken we looked over and they were right in front of us in the hot tub.

So we had to get a picture with them.  The lady wasn't to happy about it. :0)

This was so much fun and I loved going with everyone and getting to spend so much time with them.  Nate and I have decided that we are cruise people and are really looking forward to going on another one in the future.

Thank you for all you do, and on your birthday;

Not coming home til 4 in the morning, (3 hours late) so that we can have a roof over our heads and food in our fridge.

Helping take care of the children so that I'm not always the bad guy, (really sorry we missed Riely's baptism but you know how life can be with a 7 year old.)

Driving forever to hang out with friends and again helping with the children, (let me just say that it was the biggest blow out I have ever seen and we have 4 kids.  So gross!)

Taking the boys to look for deer and making such good memories with them.

Driving the fastest you ever have since becoming an officer to get home and to bed.

You do all this and more for us and we love you dearly for it.  Happy 34th Birthday!

Hair

I wanted to show you how long Katy's hair is.  It doesn't look very long because it is so curly.  But it is super long.  It is just like my Daddy's.  When he lets his hair grow out, it doesn't look very long til you comb it out and then you can see how long it really is.

Funny Norma Moment

We had some friends over last night and I was so excited that all our kids are about the same age and played together so well!  It was after dinner, before the adults got to play a few games, (Ticket to Ride.  I totally lost.) and I am just listening to Norma yelling upstairs.  Her yelling is nothing new and I've learned to tone her out.  Well she is really up there, "Hello!  Anybody!  HELLO!"  So I yell up to her to quit yelling, thinking that she is yelling out her closed window at the boys playing outside.  About 10 minutes later she is still yelling.  It's been a while by now and in a break in my conversation with my friend Katie we here, "I NEED TOILET PAPER!"  She had been up in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet yelling for someone to bring her toilet paper.  I felt so bad.  But I was laughing so hard.  Poor thing could hardly walk down the stairs she had been sitting there so long.  Another parenting fail.  :0)

Something New

It may not be the best camera but it was free.  Nate took this with it. 

She always smiles for Daddy.  It will be fun to have.  Might make me want a nice one though.

Powers Out

The power went out today.  Weird.  And I'm posting this so that I can remember when it happened.  It was really odd too.  There were only about 10 houses on our street that had gone out and it was kind of spread out over the neighborhood.  It was out for about 2 hours.  I was a little nervous about how long it was going to be out for.  I sat out on the porch with some neighbor ladies and let the kids play in the rain.  It was a light rain so even Kate ran around getting wet.  We were just talking about what we were all going to do for dinner with no power when I noticed that the fan was going again.  It would have been a great street party if it hadn't come back on though. :0)
