Trio of Haircuts

Nate told me over a month ago that he wanted me to cut my hair.  I was only too happy to oblige.  My mother has been ready for a hair cut also and Winni decided that she couldn't be left out.

I love it!  I love Mom's and Winni just took of layers so her's wasn't as dramatic as ours.
Both my Mom and I took off over 12 inches.  I'm going to donate mine.

Winni Graduates Highschool

My little sister, the last of the Montag's has graduated from Lehi High School 2013.

I am so happy that we were able to work things out to be able to be there to support her in this next step of her life.

Have to have a funny pic.

I'm so proud of Winni and all the hard work that she put into being able to graduate,  getting her grades up, turning in assignments and everything else she had to do these last few weeks.  You are amazing for hanging in there and getting it done!  I sure do love my sister!

Memorial Day in Wendover

We are so lucky to have some amazing neighbors here in Camp Gumbo.  We were able to have a BBQ and then go for a hike to look for some geocaching with the Banks.  We didn't find any but we love hiking and even went up to the Danger Cave that is still an active archeological site.

Katy and Bella are the best of friends and the worst of enemies. We are going to be so sad when they move in the next month.  I have loved having Sarah as a friend and motivation for me and am really going to miss her.

Just a few other things

Walle got a hair cut the same day that Katy did.  He wasn't as happy.  This picture doesn't quite show you how short Nate did it.  The only way I have been getting most of these pictures lately is to have the kids take them.  This is what they got.

Katy is also eating again.  It has been two months of Poptarts and string cheese.  I wanted proof she is eating a PB & J.

I have strawberries!  Look at the red one!

The kids went on my walk with me and we talked about what the summer will be like and the plans that we have.  We went through the "I'm Bored" jar and found which ones will work for us out here.  One of them was to make a blanket fort so they wanted to try it.  It was up long enough for a picture before it started falling in and causing fights.  Oh well, maybe some of the others will work better.

Talent Show 2013

ASE or Anna Smith Elementary had an end-of-the-year talent show and Tucker decided that he wanted to perform with his recorder.  He chose a Christmas song...

Katy loved dancing to all the music and there were a lot of gymnastic performances and she wanted to be up there trying to help and do everything they were doing.
I am so proud of Tucker!  He did amazing!
One of the dance numbers threw these big balls out to the crowd and one of the moms got one for Katy and Bella to play with.  Little did she know that the only thing these girls can do anymore is fight.

It was pretty funny to watch them run after the ball and almost go over it.

Trying to catch up

So I haven't blogged in a long time.  *Slap my hand*  School is just sucking me in, not only with time but with pictures I take too.  But we have been busy so here is May in a nutshell.

Baseball has taken over our lives.  With Nate as the coach it makes for busy weeks.  It is hard because Nate is doing it all on him own.  All the other teams have 2 or 3 coaches and here is Nate, trying to get 12 boys to listen to him.  He is doing great though!

Norma and Katy really don't like being at the games but they found some friends to play in the dirt with.  I have to tell them to leave the sunflower seeds alone because they have been in someone else's mouth.

The girls do like cheering for their brothers when they are up to bat.  "Go Tucker!"  "Go Thad!"

We have replanted our garden and it is so wonderful to see it growing!  I love watering it everyday after my walk and I really can't wait to start weeding it.  There are no weeds yet.  Hopefully it will stay that way.

I have to say that I love living by other UHP guys.  Nate had a range day and they all came home and set up a table in the dog run to be out of the sun and cleaned all their guns.  I had to be sneaky so they wouldn't see me taking a picture of them. :0)
For Christmas, Nana and Papa gave us an Ant Farm.  When we tried to order the ants we were told that they could only ship the ants in certain  temperatures.  Well, we finally got them and Nate has been more excited about them then the kids!

I did it.  I finally cut Katy's hair.  It was down to her waist and would just get so tangled to fast.

Katy is growing up so fast.  She is now into the "What's this?" question phase.  "No" is a common word out of her mouth.  She still sucks her thumb and I'm not sure how I'm going to go about making that stop.  She rides her little bike so well and loves going on walks with me, as long as she gets to go in the stroller.  She has moved up a clothes size and shoe size too.  She loves playing make believe with everything, soda bottles, old papers, the dogs, books; she will just talk to herself while I do homework and it is so cute to listen to.

There IS Life in Wendover

My strawberries have survived the freeze!  I'm so happy to see them blossoming!

Happy Birthday Winni!

I have to wish my sister a Happy Birthday on here because I am not able to be with her today.  Winni is amazing, smart, beautiful and one of my best friends. She is always there when I need help with my kids and never complains.  She is a great friend and such an example to me.  I love you and am so lucky to have you as a sister.  I may have waited 13 years for a sister but I'm glad, 18 years later, you are the sister I always hoped for!  Love  you Win!
