Cleaning the House

I have to do a big THANK YOU to my neighbor for coming to the rescue and letting me borrow her camera charger.  I am still going to have to order one of my own but for now I have a working camera and I can get the pictures off the camera.  I have put a ton of posts on my other blog with all the fun things I have been doing. You can check it out if you want. :0)

This weekend has been full of spring cleaning.  I have now gone through both of the children's rooms and thrown away a ton of things and have a huge bag for DI.  I need to go through the toy box down stairs still but I feel really good about what we have gotten done.

I really wish I had more pictures of our week.  Katy is trying to use the potty.  I happen to catch her at a really good time Sunday and she went in the potty!!  It has yet to happen again.  But she is enjoying sitting on it and she likes to think that she is a big girl.  I'm having high hopes for this summer.

We are just trying to stay busy at our house and can not wait for camping season!

Guess I'll just have to put up the Easter outfit on my bear. :0)

Happy Birthday Norma Sue! March 18, 2012

This just happen to be the day that my camera ran out of batteries.  I got these few pictures.  I made Norma this crown to wear to church.  It is always hard to have your special day be on Sunday and have church get in the way of your fun. ;0)
I got these idea's from Pinterst. :0) and Loved how they turned out.  Winni helped me make this cupcake stand and I worked really hard on these cupcakes.  I know what I need to do different next time and I can not wait to use this stand again.
We had a big family dinner that night.  We had a house full. 22 people.  That is 3 less than what we thought would be here.  We fit everyone and I think it went really well.  When we went to do cupcakes, I had a cupcake with a candle in it for every one of the girls that had a birthday in March to blow out and sing too.  There were 6 with March birthdays. :0)

We got Norma a bike for her birthday.  I hoping that she can learn to ride it well this summer so that she can ride to school with Thad next year.  Here are a few pictures I got out of the camera before it turned off again.
Norma can not wait til we pump up her tires and she can just go.  She rode it around the house for a few days but now it is out of the house.  It was so crazy.  But I'm so glad she likes it.

Silly Girls March 15, 2012

I was taking pictures of the crafts I had been working on and Katy came up to me saying, "Cheese!"  Well, I couldn't NOT take a picture of the cutie and her sister.

Norma is always a bit silly when the camera comes out.
 Then they got really silly.
Katy had to look to see how to do it.  She is such a copy-cat now days.

I know that they are blurry but I just love them and wanted to share.

What would I do without these girls!  Maybe have some peace and quiet but who really wants that. :0)

Missing Out

I have so much to catch up on and my camera is out of batteries and I can't find the charger.  This would be why I have not updated.  I can not tell you how upset I am that not only can't I get the pictures I've taken off my camera, I can't take any more!  I'm so sad!  So many things I want to take a picture of and I can't!

It will be two weeks before the new charger gets here so hold on and come back then cause I'll tell you now, I have a TON to post.  :0)

I Want to be a Home-Maker When I Grow Up

This would be Norma.  I am writing this down for journal-ing purposes.  I want to remember that she wants to be a home-maker.

When she first told this to me months ago, I said, "So you want to clean your house and make food and craft?"

"No.  I want to make a home.  You know, with walls and a roof."

Today she told me she wants to make a house with a roof that you won't fall off of.  Love my Norma Sue.

First Hair Cut

Not for the boys.  It is the first one I have ever given them.  I can not believe how long their hair had gotten.  It was insane!  So, thanks to Pinterest, I found a site that walks you through how to cut boys hair.  I took on the challenge.

After seeing them again this morning, I'd say it was a fail but I can see what I can do to fix it up a bit and if not, well, I have some friends that can come help me fix it more. :0)

Crazy Hair Day

Tucker had crazy hair day and I thought since his hair is so long I could get away with doing this.

He let me do it, commented on why Norma screams the whole time I do her hair and then didn't want to have his picture taken.  To bad.

Present from Grandpa and Nana

Grandpa and Nana brought over Katy's present the day before her birthday during her nap so I wanted to make sure that they could see her opening it.

She was so excited!  She loved that it came with a brush, puppy and a baby doll.
Puppy!  Woof, woof!

I asked her to show me.
She just wanted to brush the dolls hair.  Forget that she had other presents to open.  She loved having her own babie doll.  Thanks Grandpa and Nana!  This was perfect!

More Presents

Because I wanted to post so many pictures of her opening the gift from Grandpa and Nana, I decided to just do a separate post for the gifts we gave her.  I may have gotten a little carried away with getting things for her but when you find Dora stuff at the $1 section...

Love that she took it right to Thad to read to her.

We couldn't get this Dora doll out of the package fast enough for her.  She was jumping up and down waiting for it and when she finally got her hands on it she couldn't quit hugging it.
That is came with a brush was even better!

We have one special 2 year old on our hands.  She has started talking so much in just the last week.  It is fun that we can understand her too.  She is growing up fast.  She is smart and sweet.  She knows what she wants and how to get it.  She makes our family complete.  Happy Birthday Katy-Bug!

Happy Birthday Katy!

If all the Dora things that Katy got yesterday were not enough, she got spoiled at Nana and Papa's.  Check out this Dora cake that Nana made for her.

"DORA!"

"Happy Birthday to Katy!"  Make a wish and don't touch the candles.  She blew the first one out no problem but the second one gave her a tough time.
Eating it is way better.
Kathryn knew just what to get too.  Dora!  Coloring book and a story book all about Dora's Birthday!  Perfect!
Giving her baby Dora a hug!  Thanks Nana and Papa!  Now she has a new baby to sleep with.  That will sing to her all night long. :0)
Angela was so happy that Katy finally went to her.  But when you need help with your new Dora, you need help. :0)
