Snowcones as Big as your Head

As if we didn't need anymore sugar. :0)  But if I get to have a treat, then I guess the kids need a chance to share that with me.

Tie-Die

Nana had so many fun things for the kids to do this week while we were here.  Tie-dieing was one of the best!

Puppies!

Grandpa and Nana have some new little people at their house.  Puppies!  Rusty and Lady.  We got to meet them today.  Rusty loved our noses.  And my phone as I was trying to get  a picture. :0)

He is beautiful and quite the firecracker.

Lady is a diva as Diane puts it.  She was so sweet and sat right down for a picture.

They were a blast to watch and play with.  Rusty really wanted a treat that Lady had and wouldn't leave her alone until he got it from her.  What a hoot to watch.

Wicked!

I have no words.  A bit of a back story.  Back in December Heidi got a great deal on tickets to see Wicked.  I knew that Nate would not really want to go and so I told her to count me in for two tickets knowing that if Nate didn't really want to do that I could take Winni.  I made a mistake of telling her about it.  She put a count-down on her phone and told everyone that she was going.  Then I told Nate.  He said that if his whole family was going then he would go.  Winni cried for two days.
Fast forward to a week ago.  Nate was working out his schedule for work and with one of his crew members out having twins he had to cover work the night of the play.  One phone call later and a deaf ear, Winni had a new count-down set.
She has had the soundtrack memorized for years and was worried that she would sing along the whole time.
Dinner before hand was amazing!  We went with everyone to a resturant in Salt Lake with live music. A-mazing!

Then Capital Theater.  We were really high up in the theater but it was so awesome to be there that it didn't even matter!

I would love to go and see it over and over again.  Winni could not quit being excited.  I think I may be in love with a new play.  But no worries.  Les Mis will always be my favorite.

Ice Water Challenge

The first time I heard about this was yesterday afternoon when Nate came home and told me he had been challenge.  I guess this is going around as a cancer challenge, you decline the challenge and you have to pay $100 dollars to the foundation of choice, you accept you get two buckets of ice water dumped on you and you pay $10 to the charity of your choice.

Nate was challenged by the fire chief of Wendover City, Mike Young.  He took the challenge.  They are doing the challenge for a fellow EMT for Wendover City that died of cancer just a few months ago, Briant Shepard.

The kids got to use the hose to get their dad wet.  Norma was a little excited about it.

It's just a little bit of water, right? ;)

That might be cold.  He said that it took his breath away.  The hose water was warm and then to have a whole bucket of ice water dumped on you...

I did NOT want a hug.

Nate then got the chance to dump the ice water on the Chief.   He said he got wetter dumping the water than he did getting sprayed on his own.

After watching 6 other people get wet Thad wanted to be involved.

Well if Thad did it then Norma needed to too.

What a fun family thing to go and do last night. :0)

Fireworks!

Katy's hair is not long enough for me to do fun things with anymore but I still attempted to do a star with it for the 4th.

A beautiful night for fireworks.  We ended up just going down and sitting on the blvd to watch and I thought it was perfect.  It would have been nice to be a little father from the lights but it was good enough for me.

We then went back home and lucky for us, Papa had us set up.  He set off so many.  The best was when John had one tip over and start going off before he could get away and screamed like a little girl when it shot between his legs.  I will never let him forget it. ;0)  Then Papa sent off the big ones.

Love spending the 4th with family!
