Cold Norma?

We set up the pool today! I love my porch! It is big enough to fit our pool with room to walk around it. The kids had so much fun! Norma was in the water like a fish until she got to cold. I wrapped her up in her towel and told her to go lay in the sun. Next thing I know, Nate is yelling out the window and Norma is getting back in the pool with her towel. Guess she thought it would keep her warmer in the water with the towel on.

Awards!

Tucker got his first award. He is so proud of this medal that it is so cute! He got a gold medal for the Pony Express Rider's Award.

On a few other notes, we have found a home for Chaucer. I am so happy about it because I really didn't want to give him up. I enjoyed having the two dogs lay on me on the chair while I've been trying to take it easy. They have helped.

I am excited for school to be out tomorrow and I hope that my children don't drive me crazy all summer.

Contest!

My cousin just started a photography business and is giving away a free session sitting fee! All you have to do is go to her blog; (on the right, click on Oopsy Daisy Photography) and comment on her last post and you'll be in the drawing. She has done some amazing work and I know everyone will want her to do their pictures from now on.

New Member

Well we have gained a new member into our family this week. Chauser, Glade's pug, needed somewhere to go while they try to sell the Provo home. There are a few interested people that work with my mom but we knew Glade would want him out as soon as possible. So, he is with us. It will take some adjusting but it will be nicer than having him gone. He is as much a part of this family as anyone else.

If you know of anyone who is intersted in a pug who eats your garbage, likes to play rough with other animals, blows snot everywhere just because he is breathing, eats all the toys, slobbers everywhere, wants to eat ALL the time and is very lovable, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!

Cops and Buddies Ride

On Friday, Nate and I had the chance to go on a bike ride with the Cops and Buddies. It was such an awesome day! It was around a 200 mile ride. We went through canyons and up mountains and around reservoirs. Such a beautiful day for a ride! Nate had to sell his bike when we first moved into the house so we borrowed Glades bike. Thank you Glade! It was a chore finding people to help with the kids for the whole day but my dad watched Thadd for the day and my friends Lisel and Dani took turns with Norma and Tucker. I have the best of friends! Thank you again for helping me have a day date with my husband everyone!

It was a wonderful day and ended with Nate and I window shopping for a new bike of our own! Maybe in the next few years! :)

WHY GOD MADE MOMS

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?

1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.

What kind of a little girl was your mom?

1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?

1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?

1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.

3.
I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

So done with private!!!

So I am taking my blog off of private. I am having too many people tell me that they can't get on and I don't know what to do about that other than take it off of private. I might decide to try again in a few months but for now it will be open to everyone. Enjoy!

Job Opportunity

POSITION: Mother, Mom, Mama

JOB DESCRIPTION: Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Must assume final, compete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION: Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on the continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION: Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFIT: While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life
if you play your cards right.
