Train Station

Thursday morning we were suppose to check out of the hotel at 11.  So around 10 we called to see if the train was running late.  It was scheduled to arrive in Glenwood at 1:35pm.  The automated call told us that is was not coming in til 6:05pm.  !!!  So we played another round of Canasta.

We checked out around 11:30 and made our way to the train station to see if we could leave our bags there so we weren't carrying them around town all day.  The worker was amazingly nice and very friendly.  He let us put our bags in his office.

We went and rode the bus to get some lunch and walked the town again.  Took some more pictures of the two of us.  :0)

Found that we could see some of the park from the city.  You can see the swing on the right and the lodge on the left.

We didn't want to get our swimsuits wet to go back into our bags so we went golfing.  Miniature but it's still golf.  It was overcast and nice.  We really hoped for rain.

I got a hole in one and Nate had to take a picture of it.

Then it was back to the station were we got an update on the train.  We had gotten our bags and the worker asked us if we really wanted to do that.  He had just found out that the train had hit a truck 2 stops over and he didn't know when it would be running again.  We sat in the station for 4 hours.  Nathan thought you would like to see it.

We read and played cards.  Napping was out of the question in those seats.  8:00pm finally came with the train.

It was 4:30am when we got into Provo.  Our car was still there with all its tires and we got in and headed to Glade and Diane's to wait for our kids to wake up to go home.  We enjoyed our trip so much and even waiting for the train as much as we did wasn't bad.  Having no schedule and not having to worry about anything but the two of us was so very nice.  We missed our kids and it was so nice to sleep in our own beds but I think another trip with just the two of us will have to be at least a bi-yearly thing. :0)

It's great there was no stress with the unexpected delays! I'm so happy that the trip was so good for the two of you.
