He asked for this Post

Not sure what started this but Tucker decided he wanted to draw this picture.

This is his first one.  I was impressed but he knew that he could do better.
This is his second attempt.  Pretty good huh!

A close up of the picture.

I am so impressed with all the hard work that he put into this and the time that he took to do it.  He was also proud of his work and asked if I would share it on the blog.  He loved that I said it was "Blog worthy".  Love that kid.  :0)

B.Y.U

Nate had a day off.  I know, amazing huh?  We really wanted to do a day thing so we decided to hike the Y.

I really want to be a hiker.  I want to be a lot of things but once I got to turn 2, I was done being a hiker.  I have an amazing husband that talked me into making it to the top of the trail and I'm so glad he did. :0)
It was super cloudy and would sprinkle on us the whole way up the trail.  It was wonderful!  I knew that I could make it as long as it stayed cloudy and not to warm.  It was awesome to watch the storm over Utah Lake.  It was pouring and you could see how hard on the water.
Nate also looked up some Geocaching that were at the Y.  He and the kids hiked to the top of the Y and found 1 of them.  Katy and I started down the hill.  I did end up carrying Katy most of the way but she liked her dad carrying her more.  He had the drink.
We had a blast and now that Nate knows that both Katy and I can make it, we have another hike planned with more geocaching along the way. ;0)

Hutches Museum

I took my scouts to the museum and were so proud of how that acted and behaved.  We wolves went with the bears because they just got a new leader.  My friend Dani!!!  Love her!!!
Wolves on the left.  Kaleb, Matthew, Luke, Carter, Thad.  Bears on the right.  Weston, Joe, Andy
Some of the boys favorite parts were digging for fossils.
This guy had to be my favorite.  It is HUGE!!
They also loved being locked in jail.  Don't worry.  We let them out.  After awhile.
I took this picture just for Winni. :0)

Cool Cake/ Cool Husband

Nate had a co-worker retire and we went to a dinner in his honor last night.  This cake is just amazing to me.  His other co-worker and his wife, both Troopers, made this cake.
The hat is cake!  The badges and handcuffs are molds of real ones and made out of chocolate.  I wanted to steal them but being in a room full of cops...

Diane and Glade got Nate to pose for some pictures when he stopped by their house one day while working.  More than I've been able to get him to do.  So I had to share. ;0)

I love my husband and I'm so grateful that he loves his job.

Cool Shades Dude!

This would be one of the reasons I can't send Nate to the store on his own.  Those one or two items that end up getting in the basket that were not on the list.
But she is pretty hot stuff. ;0)

Curtiba, Brazil

That is where Glade and Diane are heading on December 10th.  They have been called to serve a Temple mission which is amazing!  They will work in the temple, live on temple grounds and get real food. :0)

They can't wait!  We are sad that they are leaving right before Christmas but they are super excited.  They will be about 100 miles from the mission that Glade served as a youth.

Here is a link all about the temple.  :0)

With Parents Like These

We knew it would happen.
Norma is now in glasses.  We took them in on Monday to have their eyes checked.  Tucker's were pretty bad.  Thad's didn't change much and Norma, well let's just pretend that she did well and did everything that the doctor needed her to do.

Norma also had the hardest time picking out glasses that she liked.  She like the glasses without nose pieces but would look in the mirror and say that they looked funny.  Then she would try on the glasses with nose pieces and say that they looked good but didn't feel good.  I had to show her that all the glasses that we wore had nose pieces.  She was better about picking one that looked good on her instead of feeling good on her after that.

The boys both got some cool glasses and are super excited about them.  We got them the transitional lens.  Yeah for sunglasses!
Couldn't leave Kate out.
It was pretty cloudy so their glasses didn't change much.  One of the only times that we didn't like having a cloudy day.

Cleaning Help

I got the cleaning bug yesterday and so the kids helped out.

Norma and Katy by climbing all over the chairs.  Katy yelling, "Help me, Help me."  when she couldn't get down.

Tucker helped by putting together a new playlist for me.  One that won't have Christmas songs or Primary ones either. :0)

Nate cleaned the blinds in the kitchen.  (Don't look at any other ones in the house.)

I love cleaning as a family.  It makes for a great day!

If it's not one...

It's the other.
But most of the time, it's both.
They would be the cause of all my stress.  I'm always being bugged by one.  I always have at least one of them in my lap.  And yes, sometimes both.

Katy I love and will put up with.  Eva...  needs to learn to stay out of my face. :0)

Trip to the Zoo

We were in need of family day so we headed up to the Zoo.

No, this one is not one of my boys. ;0)  Hehehe.  This guy was chowing down on some lunch when we came by.
There were quite a few monkeys out.  We came across a few that the boys laughed at because they were pooping.  I looked at Nate and said, "That's not poop." (Blush)

Katy loved pointing out all the animals.  Here she is pointing out the elephants.
This has been so cool to go back and look at the pictures of the kids from the zoo last year in front of the monkeys.  Here is a link so you can see how much they have grown.

Katy loved spreading her arms out!  So cute!!!
 Norma Sue.

 Thad
 Tucker
Nate had to have one of him. :0)
This had to be my favorite place at the zoo.  They opened the new Rocky Shores and it was amazing!  I loved that the otters were awake and going nuts!  It was so fun to watch them swim from one side of the tank to the other.

 Two very cute girls!
The seals and sea lion were amazing!  I love that you can go below the water line and see them.
This seal lion was huge!!!  I couldn't believe how big he was.  It looked like all of these animals had been rescued.
Just as we were about to leave the bear den because they weren't out, they came.
 There were two!
 Me and my kids. :0)
We loved that this tiger was awake.  He looked like he was ready to eat all the little kids that kept tapping on the window.  I think I would have ate them too.
Katy would much rather have pushed the stroller on her own instead of sitting in it.
Even if she couldn't see where she was going.
I took this picture just for Winni.
The kids got to pet this turtle.
And what's the zoo without popping out of the gopher holes. :0)

It was such an enjoyable day with our family.  It was very much needed.  We love doing things together and spending time as a family.
