So I have spent the week sewing. I got the bug and just had to go with it. About two weeks ago I was looking at patterns at Walmart, (Good old Walmart. :) ) and Norma found this very cute pattern. I figured I hadn't made her a new dress since her Christmas one so I got it and went to look at material. I found this cute swirly material in so many different colors. This is what we came up with.
She couldn't quit posing! What a girl! I remember when Tucker got to this age and loved to pose for the camera. Isn't the dress just adorable! I had to make more just because it only took 20 minutes from cut to finish! I have never made a dress that fast and had it turn out so cute. So back to Walmart I went and got material for Heathers girls and for Addie, Diane's granddaughter. Diane's daughter, Amy is also getting her first girl in April so I just had to make one for the baby too. I love little baby dresses!
These are Addie's and the new babies. I am hoping Heather will get me pictures of Aubrey's and Jennifer's soon so I can post them. I didn't take a picture of them before I gave them to her. Aubrey is just so cute about it. I had Heather measure her so I would know what size to make her and the first thing she asked was, "Is Bobby making me a new dress?" I love that girl!
This has been such a fun project for me this week. I love to sew and I love to sew little girl dresses. They are just so stinkin' cute! I have already got my friend April to go and get the pattern for her girls and Dani is bringing me material to make her girls some dresses too. When I get the rest made I'll add those pictures too. So much Fun!!!

Www, Www, Www, One Hundred
Thadd - "I know how to spell one hundred. One, Zero, Zero."
Nate - "That's how you write one hundred with numbers, how do you think you spell it?"
Thadd - "Www, Www, Www, one hundred, with a W!"

So glad he is starting to sound things out!

Sick House
Okay, I will never go another year with out my family getting the flu shot. We have gotten the shots for free for the last few years through the prison and this year it didn't work out to go on the days that they were offered. Therefore no flu shots. Well, we are paying for it now. I swear we have all been sick for weeks! Less then a month ago, we all had the stomach flu and that was not pretty. It was better than this week, at least last time I managed to keep from getting it. I was not so lucky this time. It started with Nate not really feeling well and it all went down hill from there. It is not good when both parents are down in bed. Who can take care of the kids? Themselves? Until they get it and then I have to feel better. Its not nice. I feel like that we will be sick till spring! Please tell me that spring is right around the corner! I need spring! But on a good note my kids have been so good with all of it. It is so sad to hear Norma come up to me and say, "I really don't feel good." It makes me want to cry. Hopefully we can all feel better soon and then I can be a human again and see people and talk to my friends again and feel like I am alive again. I love my house but I need out! Thank you for reading my venting!

Something just for you!
Something just for you! Lucky you! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year
4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same prize to the first 5 people who post on your blog. The first 5 people to repost and leave a comment telling me they did win an AWESOME homemade gift by yours truly! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! (And I'll post them all here as well so everyone can see!) Good luck!

Tucker's 7th Birthday
Today is Tucker's birthday and I have to say he has been a little disappointed. The big thing we did for his birthday was the circus so we really didn't do much else. He opened his present from us yesterday with a friend and played all day with it. (A new Wii game.) This morning he woke up and I heard him tell Thadd that he was hoping for a surprise party today. What a let down!
My mom always makes the birthday cakes and she has to have help with this. When she asked Tucker what he wanted on his cake this year he told her that he wanted a smiley face on it with a tooth missing so that it would look just like him. So today when we got here for dinner she had him help decorate it and what a surprise it was when we saw HIS face on the cake!

As you can see, everyone loves cake in our family!
Norma was being so funny about how she ate her piece of cake. She had her little foot up on the back of the chair and would just lick the frosting off the cake. Silly girl!
This is one of Uncle Johns famous presents. Duck tape! Oh John!
This is the gift he got from Aunt Cindy and Angela. Thanks guys! This will keep him entertained for hours!
Aunt Kathryn gave him his our Book of Mormon! Now he'll have his own for Sunday.
And of course Papa had to get him a plane. Papa said to me later, "I knew he'd like it." I said, "Yes Nate will." All in all I think Tucker had a pretty great day. It was a hard one for me remembering 7 years ago and what it took to get this little angel into the world and getting him to stay here. It was very worth all work and worry he caused us all. I love you Tucker and I can't wait for all the years to come!

The Circus!
If things kept going this way I'll never write! We went to the circus Tuesday night for Tuckers birthday. Every year Smith's has free child tickets and this year there was a buy one, get one free adult ticket so to the circus we went! It was so much fun! We were able to go with some friends from our neighborhood and we took Eric with us too! We asked them what their favorite parts were and it was the guy that held swords in his mouth and climbed a ladder, the guy in green,(oh course, Thadd and Eric's favorite color is green so they would like anything in green. :) ) and the 2$ trumpets that Nate got for all of them. Thanks Nate! The dog goes running whenever they blow them. And like the last time we went to the circus, I forgot my camera. Dani, send me those pictures. But still the best part of the night for the kids was playing at McDonalds after the circus. The kids got to play and the grown-ups had ice cream. It was a great night and I am so glad my friends were able to come with us.

First Tooth!
It has finally happened! Tucker has lost his first tooth! He has been working on it for about a month now. When he went into the dentist is when we found out it was even loose. He was so happy and he would wiggle it any chance he got. Last night it was really close right before bed. His dad told him to twist and pull and it started to bleed. He just kept on working at it. It was bed time so I told him to go brush his teeth and see if that helped get it out. The other kids were in bed so he had to go get them up to show them that he got it out. Isn't that the cutest smile! Its like he is a baby getting his first teeth again only this time he is losing them. Boy, do I feel old now! The tooth right next to the one he lost is loose too so I'm thinking it will be soon and will be down two teeth. Now he chose to wait to put his tooth under his pillow for the tooth fairy til tonight because he thinks people are going to want to see his tooth. So I guess we'll just have to see what the tooth fairy will leave.
