Daddy Daughter Date

Norma has been counting down the days til her Daddy Daughter Date.  I have to share some of the funny things that she said and did yesterday as she was getting ready for her big day.

First off, she wanted to make sure I let her pick out her own outfit to wear.  I've been laying out her clothes for her to wear to school and she really wanted to pick them out herself.  She wanted to wear make-up so she put on her chap stick and "pretended" it was lip stick.  She wore a dress and walked around with her purse all day.

Nate worked the late shift the night before so he didn't come home til 5 in the morning.  Norma didn't care. She wanted him awake and taking her out.  When Nate finally did wake up, Norma was so upset that he came down stairs in his jammies.  She said to him, "I was hoping you would wear a tie at least."  What a funny girl!

It wasn't anything too special, Nate took her to McDonalds for a happy meal and then a treat at the grocery store when they went to go get some milk.  But it was perfect for her.  She was out with just her Daddy and that is what mattered.

Now she is counting down the days til Halloween.  Only because I told her it was to many days to count until her birthday. :0)
