Norma's Lost Tooth #2

I happen to be up doing homework, that is happening a lot right now, and I heard one of the kids up quite a bit.  Norma came out and couldn't contain herself.  Her front tooth that has been loose forever was almost out.  I told her she could sit by me and wiggle it for a bit.  Told her to wiggle it front and back, side to side and even a little twist now and then.  She told me that she had tried tying some floss around it and pulling on it but couldn't get it tight enough.  I suggested for her to go brush and see if that would help.  She went and did that and got the boys all excited to try and help her get it out.  She wasn't so happy and had a hard time keeping her voice down.  She came to sit next to me again and then next thing I heard was her tooth coming out.  She was so happy that she got it out and got it by herself!

More Food Pics

I'm sure that you may be getting tired of seeing our food that we have out here, but when we don't have many places to go and eat, when we make good food ourselves, we are pretty proud of ourselves. :0)

My parents gave me some taco bowl pans for my birthday, (along with Les Mis) and we used them to make taco salads.  Homemade ranch dressing and we were in heaven!

We have been big on salads and we just love this one with strawberries and strawberry poppy-seed dressing with the chicken marinaded just right... oh so good!  Now I'm hungry again.

Day Trip to the Taylors

We traveled many hours in the car just to go see our friends down in Fairview.  It was so worth it.  I miss so many of my friends and this family is one of them.  We loved being able to play games and eat yummy food with them.  The kids loved playing with the baby goats and trying to catch the chickens.  We did get more than a good time with them, they gave us their old dog run.  Now we can leave the dogs outside when we leave now.

A Shooting Date

Nate is getting a new gun for work and had a ton of ammo for the old one and so he took me shooting.  Here in Silver Island Mountains, where we can see the Gold Mountains, it was beautiful.

Love looking out over the Salt Flats.

Katy is one lucky bug to be able to go on dates with Mom and Dad all the time.  And will be for a few more years to come.
She was not very willing to where the ear safety but agreed after some convincing.

Nate was hoping that when I shot, the guns kick back would knock me on my butt.  Guess I'm tougher than he thought I was.  Okay, I didn't want to shot at first.  This was the first rifle I have shot before.  Now I can't wait for him to take me again.

My Norma Sue is 7!  Time sure flies.  We had her open presents the night before her birthday because that is when it worked out for Nate to be home.
LOVE this face!!

Happy Birthday to a wonderful girl!

Finding Fun

With so much to do in Wendover...  we have to find things to do.  riding bikes in the desert is a good one.

This is right behind our house, about a mile and a half from the highway.  I walk the trail with Sarah everyday, the kids ride their bikes, find dirt piles to jump and like to pick up the dirt clods in big hunks, seeing who can get the biggest one without breaking them.

Norma has been on her bike non-stop since she learned to ride.  She has a sunburn on the top of her arms even.  She loves that she can ride with the boys now.

Catching a Leprechaun

Thad stayed up late setting this up.
He has taken a rock from his rock collection, wrapped it in paper that he had colored yellow and put it in the pencil case under his bank.  He made this note for the leprechaun to read to be able to find the fake gold, then put a lego in the lid of the pencil box to hold it open a bit but would fall out and latch the box when the leprechaun got in to get the gold.
When he turned out the lights to go to bed he wondered how the leprechaun would read his note, so with the help of Tucker's brilliant mind, they came up with a plan.  They turned on their DS's and pointed them at the note.  Not wanted the DS's to die during the night they also made sure they were plugged in.
To bad we don't have leprechauns come to our house.

Wendover has Bountiful Baskets!

So happy to know that Bountiful Baskets are in Wendover.  They only come out every two weeks which works perfectly for us.  Oh how I'm missed this.

"T"

Nate loves me and cut the boys hair tonight.  Thad likes to have his hair longer so Nate tried to do a bowl cut and may have slipped...  Now he has a "T" for Thad. :0)

House Full for the Birthdays

We are so lucky to have family here this weekend.  We have a house full.  John and Celest came down Friday night and Mom, Dad, Winni and Kathryn came today.  We love having a full house!

The girls were super excited because they both got to celebrate their birthdays together with presents from Nana and Papa.

They both got beautiful Sunday dresses and lots of things to play with.  Kathryn gave them each new church shoes that they really needed.  Nana and Papa also brought bubbles and chalk to play outside with.  So glad it was a nice day.

The girls also got hat and glove sets.  Now they can be warm when they go out to play.

Katy got her own snuggie.  There is quite the story behind these.  Nate's Grandma had made him and his siblings these sleeping bag bear things when they were little.  Nate was still sleeping with his when we got married and years into our marriage.  I finally made him a "snuggie blanket" when his got so warn out it was falling apart.  My mom saw how much Nate loved his and decided that each of my kids needed one.  So she made each of them their own snuggie.  Katy wasn't even a thought at the time so her's was a bit longer in the making. :0)
Norma also learned how to ride a two-wheeler while they were out.  Notice that Eva is just following Nate, carrying the frisbee, hoping that he will throw it for her.  She will sit and toss it at you for you to throw it for her.

We just love when family comes!  Even if we are close together. :0)

Bunny Watching

We have some little friends at our house.  I loved looking out the window this morning and seeing this little guy bouncing around.

The dogs do to. :0)  When I let them know the bunnies are out there.  I liked watching him to much to let the dogs know he was there though.

Katy Birthday is Finally Here!

My baby is 3!  I just want to sob.  My little girl is not so little anymore.  She is still a Mommy's girl and I will love that til the day I die.  It may bug me sometimes, her always wanting to "hold you" meaning she wants me to hold her.  She wants me to play with her or do homework on the kindle.  She is talking all the time now and loves having a friend right next door to play with.  She is growing so fast, I am having to change out her clothes for a bigger size all the time.

I tried to be good and use tips to decorate her cupcakes but that didn't work out so well.  I just don't do decorating cakes.  I like to eat them and just slap on some frosting.

She was so excited about her presents.  She happen to be with us when we got them  because we waited to get her gifts.  We did try to be sneaky about it but she is a very nosy girl.  I just glad that we got them on Friday because if she would have had to wake longer for her presents we would have run out of places to hide them where she would not keep finding them.
Eva can't be left out of the fun.
Here is Katy right after she opened her birthday card from Grandpa and Nana.  She opened the card, saw the money and threw the card on the floor, dancing and singing, "I got moneys!  I got moneys!"

*Be the way, we took her to the store and let her pick out a present to spend her "moneys" on and she picked a My Little Pony the walks and sings.  She sleeps with it, hugs it and can't go anywhere without it.  Thanks Grandpa and Nana!*

One of her favorite presents was the camera that she could click the button and it shows a picture of Mickey characters.  She thinks it funny when she takes a picture of you and you end up looking like Goofy. :0)  I thought it was great that she wanted a picture of her cake just like I did.

She may have had a hard time blowing out the candles.  I promise, we didn't use trick ones either.
What a beautiful 3 year old.  We have had to tell her since Tucker's birthday that it wasn't her birthday yet.  That she was still 2 and on her birthday she would be 3.  3 is a hard number for a little girl to get.

What is taking pictures without the close up at the end.  Love this girl!!!
